Biography

Sarah Gold (*1978, Netherlands). Art historian, curator, artist. As an independent curator Sarah Gold curated exhibitions during various editions of the Venice Biennale, symposia and published numerous books and catalogues. From 2010-2015 she has created art projects with artists such as Hermann Nitsch, Lawrence Weiner, Lee Ufan, On Kawara, Roman Opalka, Herman De Vries and Yoko Ono. From 2015 onwards she has solely focussed on her body of work as an artist.
Sarah Gold documents her life, in particular the sensual erotic side, by being photographed with other friends having sexual encounters. She also captures objects which intrigue her. All works are large photographs with text printed upon by hand. Adding an additional comment upon the image.
