They are photos taken from my family’s archive, memories that can always be carried with you. Like an album with its pictures.
The photos come from an old camera and have a unique value, not recognizable in digital cameras.
Iryna Ozarynska (Ozi) was born in Odessa, Ukraine in 1979.
I started painting professionally at the age of 15, later I attended the Odessa Art School MB Grekov and the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, Ukraine, where I learned all classical and modern painting techniques such as watercolour painting, oil painting, acrylic painting etc. I work with different mediums such as installation, fashion, performance. At the academy where I graduated, I also taught the Artist Book subject, after which this subject was made part of the compulsory curriculum. I have twice won a program in Poland called Scholarship of Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, in 2011 in Krakow and in 2018 in Lodz.
